Let's clear one thing up...

one thing....or a few things!

We are applying to be missionaries. We hope to be missionaries. We are following the Lord's call. BUT we do know that it might not happen. Please don't think that we EXPECT that we will be accepted, and if we are; that we will be accepted with no requirements. Mission to the World does an exceptional job in the interview process of its "employees." We know and understand, and want all of you to know and understand, that it will be a L-O-N-G and rigorous process. MTW might look at our applications and have some suggestions for us, or we could get close to the end of the process and have to go through some extra steps. Truth is I DON'T KNOW...and it scares me. But I find much peace in knowing that it is not MTW directly judging me or my family. These people are praying for us. Speaking to OUR God about us. If that is all that comes from this whole process, it is enough for me. Although, more has already come. We will support Japan no matter what: if we go or not, could be through prayer, could be through money, or some other way.

All of this to say...We could end up not going. And we are okay with that. We want all of you to be okay with that. We appreciate all the support that the Lord is providing us through those of you that are reading our blogs, keeping in touch with us, praying with us and for us and praying for the Japanese nation. The Lord is already doing great things through these little things. We are truly grateful for that.

We are approaching this whole situation humbly and slowly, making sure that we are doing what the Lord wants and not what we want. Will you join us in praying Psalms 67 for us and for the lost nation of Japan?

Welcome! If you're here it's is most likely because you know us and know what we are up to! If that's not you, then let me tell you a little about us!

We are the Dantzler's...well this is just one of the Dantzler's, Candace in particular. My husband is Laurence and together we have two handsome little boys. Keitt and Jackson.

Laurence and I have been together 10 years, married 6 of those ten! The Lord has blessed us wonderfully. I think I can speak for the both of us when I say we married our best friend, cheesy-yes BUT very true! Laurence works as a chef at a baptist church here in Macon, and I get to stay home with our children.

Okay, let me see if I can make our long "missions" story short.
In May of 2011 I, Candace, went to Nicaragua on a short term mission trip. I came back with a hankering for going into the missions field, particularly there---hello warm weather and beautiful scenery. Laurence obliged. Around June of 2011 I got sick with psoriatic arthritis which would make it impossible to serve in a 3rd world country. In September of 2011, Laurence and I attended a vision retreat with Mission to the World. Through this retreat it became obvious that the Lord was calling us to serve Him globally, Japan in specific, and long-term.

We have not been approved through Mission to the World to become missionaries...we are just at the beginning of the process.

However, we have a team that we would love to join. This is a team of people that will be working in Osaka, Japan starting an international college. We are confident that this is where the Lord is leading us.
